Dear Ng Chee Hean, you wrote:

1. Others are rearing edible fish in sea cages off Singapore, do we supply them our fingerlings? Any other ways we can collaborate with these fish producers?

2. Seems we are differing from competitors by focusing on R&D. Can you please therefore advise what are the patents we own so far?

Looking forward to your reply,
Best regards

Hi Chee Hean,

We are supplying fish and shrimp fingerlings to land and sea based farmers in Singapore. At the same time we are offering them our Hydro-Pure water purification system and fish feeds.

We own the patent of Hydro-Pure water purification technology. We own other patents and have some pending patents applications too. We do not patent technology that is easy to reverse engineer as it will reveal our trade secrets. For our work-in-progress research and development projects, we will disclose those which are patented upon completion.

Happy New Year!

Dear Douglas Goh, you wrote:

Is Qian Hu taking part in the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers scheme? I feel agriculture tourism has good potential during the pandemic.

Hi Douglas Goh,

Qian Hu does not sell tickets for entry to its fish farm, thus we are not qualified to accept SingaporeRediscovers Vouchers. However, we have seen an increase of visitors to our farm during this pandemic period.

Happy New Year!

Dear Yvonne Tan, you wrote:

Tat Leng Plastic is moving into packing materials for e-commerce but its factory is in Singapore where operating cost is higher compared to China and Malaysia. How is it going to compete with competitors who import from cheaper sources overseas?

Hi Yvonne Tan,

In Singapore, we produce higher value plastic packing products. For medium to lower value packing products, we outsource them to factories in Malaysia.

Happy New Year!
